Passive fire protection is essential for any building. These products are “built-in” to the fabric of a building to restrict the growth and spread of fire and smoke – not only protecting the building, but protecting the people within it.

This guidance document ensures that, in the event of a fire, the occupants can exit the building, the fire will not spread easily to other areas, and the fire and emergency services can enter the building safely as it will not collapse prematurely.
